Donaldson Run is ready, once again, to help you stay (or get!) fit with our summer fitness programs. We have three proven fitness programs from which to choose.
Early Bird Aqua Fitness

Class begins June 2
Start your summer mornings with our early bird aqua fitness class. This energizing class incorporates water weights, kick boards, and uses the resistance of the water to build a strong core and increase overall muscle while burning calories. It also focuses on flexibility and strength. Exercises are modified for your particular abilities. All fitness levels are welcome to join the class!
Members pay only $125 for a full season pass. A non-member season pass is $150. If you prefer, you may pay-as-you go for only $7.00 a class. You can even bring a non-member friend for only $8.00 a class.
Mid Day Water Aerobics
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Class begins June 26
This fun-filled water aerobics class uses a lot of the pool! We jump, splash and move all around the shallow end. We tone the legs with leg exercises around the perimeter of the pool. Later in the class, we use Styrofoam weights and do some deep water jogging and other moves in the deep end. Don’t worry if you don’t like to go into deep water. Some of our participants stay where they can plant their feet on the ground. We finish back in the shallow end, using those same weights to tone arms and the upper body and complete the hour with sit ups on the pool deck (optional). Bring a towel, sunscreen and a hat or visor and get ready to have fun.
This class begins on June 27 at 11:00 am and, on August 8th, changes to a 10:00 am start time. Classes will take place every day of the week except Fridays. Members pay only $40 for a book of 6 class tickets. Or, if you prefer to pay-as-you-go, the cost is $7 a class for members or $8.00 a class for non-member guests. All mid-day water aerobic tickets can be purchased directly from the instructor.
Amphibious (Land & Water) Boot Camp
Monday – Friday
Class begins Tuesday, May 30
For those members who prefer a more vigorous exercise program, Fitness Image Result’s amphibious boot camp meets at Donaldson Run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-6:30 am. Participants engage in an hour of intensive aquatic fitness which includes swimming, kicking, water exercises, dry land, and core training. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, the group meets at Washington and Lee High School track at 6 am for dry land boot camp. The program is a great way to challenge yourself to a hard workout, stay cool in the water, and meet some fun people.
