Schedule for Practices During the School Year

Practices are held Monday through Friday.

Practice begins Tuesday May 30 for all divers.

Age Practice Time
Developmental Divers (10 & younger) 6-7 pm
Experienced Divers (11 & older) 7-8 pm

Schedule for Practices Starting June 26

Practices are held Monday through Friday.

Note: Beginning on Tuesday, June 27, all Tuesday practices are for only those diving in that evening’s “A” meet, except as otherwise approved by the Head Coach. Every effort will be made to notify divers of their participation in an “A” Meet on the Friday before the meet.

Mid-Day Practice

Each practice includes at least 15 minutes of stretching and ‘dry land’ work – try and be on time to make the most of this important aspect to the practices!

Age Practice Time
Developmental Divers (10 & under) 11:15 am – 12:30 pm
Experienced Divers (11 & older) 12:15 pm – 1:30pm

Evening Practice

Open to divers of all ages. These occasional practices are for those divers who can’t make mid-day practice or those who may want additional practice time. Dates will be determined once the season starts but will generally be from 6-7 pm.

Plan Now to Be Here!

The summer diving season is short. There are only five dual “A” meets in which our team scores determine team standing in our division. For the team to do its best, we need every diver, every Tuesday from June 28 through July 26. We have a full schedule for all of the divers on the team – even those who are BRAND NEW to diving! This year, we will have schedule as many Thursday “B” meets for developmental divers as possible. Certain divers will also participate in Sunday meets: Wally Martin 3-meter meet on July 16, Crackerjack on July 23, Divisionals on July 30, and All Stars on August 6. Please plan vacations, camps, and other activities after the season ends. Don’t let the kids miss out!

General Practice Information

Coaches may move divers to a different practice time to better match capabilities. Also, no parents are allowed on the dive well deck during practice. If you wish to speak with one of the coaches, please do so before or after practice. The coaches need to focus on the divers during practice. This is important for safety reasons. You are also always welcome to talk to the dive team representatives about any questions of concerns that you may have.

If a child is consistently disruptive or acts in a manner that is not safe, the coaches or the dive team representatives may ask that the parents remove the child for a brief ‘time out.’ The safety of all of the divers is the top priority for everyone involved with the dive team.
