We are happy to announce that the 2025 Donaldson Run season officially begins over Mother’s Day weekend again this year. Our staff has been busy preparing the pool over the last few months. We look forward to welcoming all new and returning Shareholder and Full Summer members on Opening Day, Saturday, May 10.

As a community pool, we have over 800 families and approximately 2,400 swimmers that comprise our Donaldson Run aquatic family. When you return, you will see many familiar faces and new families and staff members.  As always, please introduce yourself and make sure everyone feels welcome.

Check our website, drra.org for the latest information about pool hours, activities, rules, safety, operations updates, our social calendar and programs.  We are also offering several special opportunities for our members; Swim Team, Dive Team, and Aerobics.

Save the date for LobsterFest!  It will be held on Saturday, June 28.

DC Slices food truck will be onsite starting at 5pm. Pre-orders are available (and encouraged to reduce wait time and to ensure availability).

Ruthie’s All Day will deliver pre-orders to the pool at 5pm, Friday July 12. Due to weather, the smoker will not be on-site so no walk-up orders will be sold. Pre-orders close at 1:30pm on Friday, July 12. Don’t delay – order now!!

LobsterFest Guest Tickets On Sale! Now through June 14 (or until sold out), each membership may purchase up to two (2) additional tickets for family and/or guests. Note: The total number of tickets per member account will be capped at 4 (e.g., 2 members + 2 guests). Guests at LobsterFest must be accompanied by a DR member. All attendees must be 21yo+.

LobsterFest Tickets On Sale – Now through June 4, each membership may purchase up to two (2) tickets for members. If tickets remain after June 4, members may buy two (2) additional tickets for additional family members or guests between June 5 – June 14.

Lap Lanes Open Today

I am pleased to announce that our pool is now open for lap swimming starting today, May 6, through this Friday, May 10. The pool will be available for use by members aged 16 and older during the following hours: 4:00 PM – 6:45 PM.

We encourage all eligible members to take advantage of this opportunity to swim laps and get in some great exercise. Please remember to follow all pool rules and safety guidelines during your visits.

I want to thank Todd Bennett and Claire Sawyer, our General Manager and Assistant Manager, who worked very hard to get the pool open earlier.
